It’s tubing time!

The tube park was rented for City of Timmins employees only.  100 spots available.

In order to secure your spots, we are asking that you pay $5 per person (the usual price is $15 per person).

Why are we asking you to pay a fee?  In order to continue bringing you events every month, some months may require a small fee to help offset the cost.

Beginning July 6, 2021 the Wellness Committee will be offering trial wakeboard passes from the Timmins Wake Park at Gilles Lakes.

 

 

 

 

100 km Challenge – WINNERS

The Wellness Committee would like to once again thank all City of Timmins employees who participated in the June 2021 – 100 km challenge.

Together we accomplished over 6800 km’s in only 30 days.

All submitted ballots were entered into the draw, with 10 names pulled by HR/HS staff the morning of July 6th.

Prizes have been distributed to all winners by the Wellness Committee.

100 km Challenge

In honor of National Health and Fitness Day on June 2nd, 2021 – The City of Timmins Wellness Committee has created a 100km challenge.

The challenge is open to all city employees and their immediate family members.

Feel free to cycle, jog, walk, swim, paddle board, and kayak your way to 100 kilometers.

The challenge will take place during the month of June 2021 and will be based on the honor system.

Use the 100 km tracker to help you keep track along the way.

Once you’ve crossed off all of the tracker bubbles, submit your prize ballot to Lisa Greer for a chance to win some pretty sweet prizes.

*Note your ballot must be in before 12 noon on Monday, July 5th. Draw will take place at 3 pm in the Health and Safety Dept.

30 Day Wellness Challenge – FREE VIRTUAL FITNESS CLASSES (April 2021)

 

The City of Timmins Wellness Committee is once again welcoming all city employees and their family to participate in a 30 Day Wellness Challenge.

During the month of April 2021, we have a series of virtual fitness classes available via zoom. Classes are free and everyone is welcome. 

So get the family together and join us live, from the comfort of your living room – Tuesday and Thursday nights.
